FAQ/Policies

FAQs and Festival Policies

Where are you located?

Our main office is open year-round at 410 2nd Ave, suite 206 in downtown Fairbanks, in the old Elbow Room. Stop by any time to visit our Gift Shop and Artist Gallery or to learn more about Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival -- just ring the bell and we can let you in! Parking in the garage across the street is simple and we can even offer validation for customers!

How can I obtain a UAF parking pass for the duration of festival?

Parking kiosks are scattered throughout the UAF parking lots.  You can pay by day or you can visit the UAF Parking office to buy a week long or two week long pass.

I lost my login information. What do I do?

On the login page, simply click "Forgot Username or Email Address? " or "Forgot Password? " and you'll be prompted to reset your login information.

If I don't want to register online, how can I register?

Registration for FSAF workshops and events occurs fully online, but don't worry! If you have any issues with registration, contact our offices at 907-474-9600. We're happy to help.

My child is under 18 years of age. Can they still participate in workshops?

Workshops at FSAF are generally for ages 18 and up. In some cases, participants under 18 are allowed. If you are under the age of 18 and interested in a workshop that doesn't specify an age requirement, please contact our office by phone or email at [email protected]

I've registered for a workshop but can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?

Cancellations can be made up by emailing us at [email protected]. All cancellations must be in writing. A $10 administrative fee is charged for any  cancellation. Cancellations made less than 30 days before start of a workshop will be granted credit for a future event or workshop, valid for one year. Ticketed events are non-refundable. Emergency cancellations will be assessed on a case by case basis for eligibility of a full refund. If a workshop is cancelled by us, the full registration will automatically be refunded to you.

How can I find out more about receiving university credit from FSAF workshops?

Courses in Music, Visual Art, and Creative Writing that are indicated in the description are eligible for UAF Continuing Ed credits. Contact our offices for more information and we can connect you with the appropriate Department Chair for details.

I'm visiting from out of town. Where can I stay during Festival?

The University of Alaska housing department will grant any registrants for the Summer Festival dorm rooms at the discounted non-profit rate we receive for Guest Artists. You can contact them at [email protected] to make arrangements.

Do I receive complimentary concert tickets this year?

There are no complimentary performance tickets this year.  Lunch Bites concerts are free and open to the public.
