Opera and Musical Theater Intensive 2026

While we are offering a rolling application process, for priority assessment of your audition and application, as well as best eligibility for scholarship opportunities, please have materials submitted no later than April 1, 2026.

This year's program has two pricing options:

Opera and Musical Theatre Intensive (Program only): $1,000

Spend two weeks with our incredible faculty honing your personal skills and working with the other registrants to prepare a fully costumed scenes production. UAF Music Students also receive and additional $200 discount for enrollment.

Opera and Musical Theatre Intensive Program with Housing and Ground Transportation: $1,800

Perfect for out-of-town students who are looking for an Alaskan Adventure while honing their craft. This option includes apartment-style housing at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and some basic ground transportation. Students accepted into the OMT program from out of state are also eligible for the Bill and Theresa Reed Scholarship to assist with travel costs to and from Fairbanks.

Daily Schedule:

Students will have daily lessons, coachings, and rehearsals. Opportunities for Masterclasses weekly and several public performances. We will be together for most of the day and evening, working and rehearsing, and with meal breaks happening at the same time, oftentimes students will eat together, as well. However, there is also ample time for exploration of local sights, outings, social time, and touristy activities as well!

The faculty were outstanding and I enjoyed having personalized attention from the teachers and coaches.
