Creative Writing Retreat

Class Description:This year’s Creative Writing experience is designed as a writing retreat — a chance to
step away from daily busyness and reconnect with your inner voice. Through mindfulwriting practices, playful writing prompts, respectful discussions, and time both alone and in community, we’ll create space for reflection, creativity, and discovery.
Working in community, we’ll be inspired by examples from contemporary writers, share our drafts in a supportive environment, share practices that sustain creative work, and take our notebooks outside. The week will include a writing field trip, a special guest
writer, an individual consulting session with one of the facilitators, and an optional public reading of participants’ work.

Enrollment is limited to 12 participants to create an intimate and supportive environment. We’ll keep the schedule flexible to respond to the interests and needs of the group. All writing levels are welcome; our goal is to both encourage and challenge
you, wherever you are on your writing path. At the end of the week, we hope you’ll leave with renewed creative energy, a deeper connection to your own voice, and an appreciation for writing in community.
