Watercolor II

Watercolor II is an advanced class using a full palette of colors and expanded use of techniques with a focus on developing skills to help you create your own paintings. We are going to paint a floral subject and learn to plan a larger piece from start to finish. Bring some of your favorite pictures of flowers for reference. Bring 1 or 2 pieces of watercolor paper (8x10”) for studies and a half sheet (15x22”) or a full sheet (22x30”) for the final painting.

Materials:

Paints...I use M. Graham Watercolor Paints and you are welcome to bring your own.

3/8" Scrubber...Important!

Rounds: Sizes# 6, #8 or #10, #12 or #14

Bring a small cheap throw-away brush to apply the Masking Fluid

Large Covered Palette for the paints

A stiff cardboard or Gatorboard board to support the paper. It needs to be able to staple into.

1 sheet of Arches 140lb Cold Press

Spray Bottle to wet paper

4B Pencil
